Wolcome to ICD lab.
Our focus is on encouraging society to interact with a robot in an entertaining, engaging and seamless manner as a collaborator or assistant rather than merely use it as a tool for their assistances, since ICD has been developing a variety of futuristic artifacts, robots, and creatures in human-centric applications. These types of robots will afford a significant role in society, which can be conveyed to any person for the purpose of using and collaborating with them. Particularly, we are conducting research on the next generation robot which aims to establish a communication between people and robots in social interactions.
We are fabricating novel interfaces by formulating a proper paradigm of interactions between humans and robots. The interactive procedures are initiated using the perspective of cognitive science, social learning mechanism, and physical attributes combined with field of social robotic approaches. The concepts are finally validated in child-centric environments.
Our focus is to expose idealistic factors for communication mechanisms in HRI. The present research attempts to disclose the relationship between body orientations, social cues, minimum proto-communication, perception, and attention shifting, combining it with developmental psychology, environmental psychology, and socio-culture approaches.
ICD is a multidisciplinary group that includes a comprehensive knowledge of sensors, servomotors, electronics, mechanical design, and software architecture and is capable of employing a minimalism design approach to build novel sociable robots, artifacts, and creatures.
